Made from NASA Mars Global Surveyor laser altimeter (MOLA) data, heights exaggerated 6 times, printed in terracotta PLA.

How we make it

Built from the real mission data, checked against the official published positions and heights before printing, and 3D printed in-house on our own Bambu Lab printers at 0.12 mm layers in matte PLA. The fine layer lines you can see in the close-up are part of the look of a real print.

Every 3D printed piece is made to order on our own Bambu Lab printers in our UK studio, from Bambu Lab PLA in the colours you choose.

Material: Bambu Lab PLA, printed at 0.12 mm layers for a smooth finish
Lettering: raised 1 mm in a second colour, part of the print (not a sticker or paint)
Strength: shatterproof and lightweight, safe on a tree with pets or children about
Care: wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth; keep out of direct sun and away from heat (PLA softens above about 55°C)

Made to order in 2 to 4 working days, then posted in a kraft gift box.

Returns: 15 days on non-personalised prints. If your item arrives damaged or we sent the wrong item, we will cover the return. For change-of-mind returns, the customer return postage fee is £2.70. Posters must be returned in the original tube and remain uncreased. Personalised prints are final sale unless faulty or damaged in transit.

Bauble: 72 mm round, flat 57 mm name plate, hanging loop and gold cord, in a kraft gift box
Keyring: about 22 mm tall, length fits the name, 3 mm thick, with a split ring
Door plaque: 170 x 70 mm, 5 mm thick, with 2 screw holes (screws, wall plugs and sticky pads included)
House number plaque: 150 x 100 mm, 4 screw holes, for a sheltered porch or indoors

What paper and inks do you use?
Lustre Photo Paper 180gsm. Printed with archival pigment ink for a long-lasting finish.

What is your return policy?
