Personalised Gifts for Nan: 13 Prints with the Family on

The personalised gifts Nan keeps are usually the ones with her family on them: the grandchildren's names, the house they all grew up in, the tea order she has made a thousand times. Every print below has a live preview, so you type the names and details in and watch the poster redraw on the page, and what you see is exactly what we print.

They start at £7.99 for an A5 print, go up to A2 unframed or A3 in a black frame with a Perspex front, and are printed in the UK on 180gsm lustre photo paper. Delivery is free in the UK on orders over £30.

Nan's Garden Birth Flower Print

Made for the Nan whose favourite subject is her grandchildren. Type each grandchild's name and birth month and they grow as their own birth flower in a planter, with their names written along the front, up to twelve of them. You can change the title to Grandma's Garden, Nanny's Garden or Nanny & Grandad's Garden, and add a small line such as Where love grows.

Birth Flower Family Print

Every month has a flower, from carnations in January to roses in June and marigolds in October. Add the people Nan loves with their birth months and each one gets a stem in a single bouquet tied with a ribbon, with the names listed underneath. It suits a Nan with a houseful of grandchildren, and it works for Mum too.

Family Periodic Table Print

Everyone becomes an element. Type a name and a role on each line, such as Nan, Grandad, or Chief Biscuit Tester, and the print turns each one into a colour tile with an atomic number and a two-letter symbol. It fits anything from one to twelve people, so it works well as a grandparents' wall with every grandchild on it.

For Nan and Grandad together

Our Story Timeline Print

For a ruby, golden or diamond anniversary, this lines up the dates that shaped their life together: the dance where they met, the wedding, the first house, each child arriving. Type each milestone with its date and it spaces itself evenly along a single line, with a small heart on the latest chapter. Grandchildren tend to enjoy finding out the dates for this one.

Wedding Vows Print

If Nan and Grandad still know the words they said on the day, set them in a clean serif under their names, with the wedding date above and the church or venue at the foot. It suits a big anniversary when you want something quieter than a party banner. The text resizes itself, so a few lines or a full page both sit neatly.

Front Door Print

The house everyone grew up in, drawn as the front door they all remember. Choose a Georgian panelled door or a Victorian arched fanlight, pick the door colour and the brick, then add the house number, the family name, the street and the year they moved in. It means a lot when grandparents are downsizing and leaving the family home.

Favourite Walk Print

For grandparents who have walked the same loop every Sunday for years. Add the walk name, the place and the distance, their names and the dog's name, then choose rolling hills, coast or woodland. A dotted path winds up to a little heart, and if you add a dog, a small one trots along the hills.

For Nan's kitchen, Christmas and the dog

Family Coffee Order Print

Nan knows everyone's order by heart, so put it on the wall above the kettle. Type up to eight names with their usual, whether that is builder's tea with two sugars or a flat white, and a matching cup appears on its own colour tile. Good for a Nan whose kitchen is where the whole family ends up.

Christmas Traditions Print

Grandparents usually started the family traditions, so this one makes a lovely early Christmas present they can bring out with the decorations each year. List your traditions, from the Christmas Eve walk to the trifle that is never ready on time, add the family name and the year it all began, and choose from five festive colourways.

Dog House Rules Print

If Nan's dog is the real head of the household, write the rules down in its voice: the sofa is shared property, biscuits on request. Add the dog's name and up to eight rules, then sign it off from the dog in script. It is a light-hearted one for a birthday rather than a big occasion.

Birthdays and milestones

Aged to Perfection Print

A birthday print laid out like the label on a good bottle, with the age as a large numeral in the middle. Add Nan's name, the year she was born, where she was born and a line of tasting notes you write yourself. It suits a 70th, 80th or 90th, especially when the family wants something with a bit of humour.

Retirement Certificate Print

For the grandparent who has just clocked off for good. Add their name, their job, the years they served, the date they finished and a short line such as Gone fishing, and it becomes a certificate with a rosette seal. It makes a card that lasts from the whole family.

The Day You Were Born Print

This works both ways round. As a gift from the grandparents, it is a christening or new baby keepsake with the moon phase from the birth night, the time, weight and place. As a gift for Nan, add her own birth details and she can see the moon from the night she was born.

How to choose a size

Every print comes in four sizes, all the same A-series shape, so the layout you see in the preview simply scales up or down.

  • A5 (14.8 x 21cm), from £7.99: sits on a shelf, a windowsill or a bedside table. A good choice for a gift from a young grandchild.
  • A4 (21 x 29.7cm): a good all-rounder for a kitchen, hallway or sideboard.
  • A3 (29.7 x 42cm): a proper wall piece above a sofa or fireplace, and the best size for prints with lots of names, like the periodic table or Nan's Garden.
  • A2 (42 x 59.4cm), unframed only: for a large wall or a frame you already own.

A5, A4 and A3 are also available framed, in a black frame with a Perspex front, ready to hang. If Nan already has frames she likes, unframed is the cheaper way to go.

Questions about personalised gifts for Nan

Can I check the names before I order?

Yes. The poster on the product page redraws as you type, so you can see every name, date and spelling in place. That preview is exactly what we print, which makes it easy to check Great-Nan's name or the grandchildren's birth months first.

What if there are a lot of grandchildren?

Nan's Garden and the family periodic table each take up to twelve names, and the birth flower bouquet takes up to eight. If the family is bigger than that, Nan's Garden is the one to choose. Text shrinks to fit longer names, so double-barrelled surnames are fine.

What paper are the prints on?

All our personalised prints are printed in the UK on 180gsm lustre photo paper, which has a soft sheen and holds colour well. Framed prints come in a black frame with a Perspex front, which is lighter than glass.

Is delivery free?

UK delivery is free on orders over £30. A framed A4 or A3 print gets you there on its own, so does an unframed A3 for each set of grandparents.
