The streets around City Centre are printed in relief, every block of buildings standing up off the tile, parks in green and water in pale blue, so the light catches the edges and each building throws its own shadow as the day moves.

There is no name or lettering on it, just the map, edge to edge: anyone who knows Glasgow will find their way around it. Matte PLA has a soft, chalky finish with no shine, so the light and shadow across the buildings do the work. The finished tile is set into a black wooden A5 frame, where it sits under the frame's lip with no glass in front, so you see and feel the relief.

Each one is made to order in our UK studio and sent Tracked (UK delivery 2-3 working days once dispatched).

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
